CACOPHONIA

“Having a different and diverse musical taste’s from each of the members in a band can be a bit tricky, it could wander to nowhere or provide something interesting and unique. For Marche La Void, it’s the later.

Started out with “them as pyros”, Marche La Void moving it up tracks by tracks. There’s some added progression after every tracks. Most notably in “Fortified Emptyness”, when the guitars starting to loosen up with melodic styling of Radiohead and Psychedelic King Crimson. Then, probably one of the best final tracks in 2007 “depriving the distant thought within everything that comes between” they bring out their best in this track. The lulling guitar soundscape which work hand in hand with the deep vocal’s that fits in the texture of the sounds. and from 05:00, everything’s blend into one epic beautiful ending.

My criticism for this release is the use of the Ambient Soundscape was to limited. Which i think this brings out their full potential. We can hear it faded away in scientific despair and completly gone in fortified emptiness. This break the mood a bit for the EP.

Nevertheless, Ranging from the slowcore style of Low, Japanese legendary Psychedelic Ambient band Ghost. Marche La Void able to keep it in one theme, placing their diversity piece by piece subtlely into each tracks. Depression, despair is the theme for the EP, but i have to say, Depression, despair is not such a bad thing. Sometimes if you look hard enough you can find a sense of beauty in it. And beauty is happiness.”
